Crawling for Castard Pudding with Sauce

I crawling for this pudding castard for few weeks and the best pudding castard I've ever taste made by my untie stayed at Segamat, Johor.

But the problem is I'm staying in KL and my untie in Segamat. I wish to drive there but my Untie Jemilah advised not to do so. Unless, I wish to deliver my baby in the middle of highway. Oh no! Never. So I ask my Untie Jemilah to make the pudding based on my Untie Edah recipe.

and...it turns so great

and I put my thumb up for the pudding. Just as same as my untie Edah cooking. Nyum...nyum...

Pudding Castard with Sauce:
Pudding
1 cup castard powder
1/2 tsp salt
5 cups water
3 tbsp sugar
2 cups raisin or sweetcorn

For Sauce:
1 can of evaporated milk
4 cups sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tbsp vanilla essence
2 tsp castard powder
1 can water (used the same can with conditioner milk)
1 can of fruit cocktail/nata d coco/lychee/slices of mango

How to make:
1. Mix all ingredient for pudding in pot except raisin/sweetcorn. Stir well to mix well the ingredient. Put in the blender and blend for a while, to mix well all the ingredient. Pour the mixture in big pot and cook under low heat.
2. Stir continuously to get smooth mixture.
3. When the moisture getting thicker, turn off heat, pour in raisin/sweetcorn and mix well. Pour the batter into container or any shape that you like. Let it cool.
4. For sauce, put all the ingredient in the pot except fruit cocktail. Mix well the mixture. Make sure all ingredient is dissolve otherwise your sauce will have an alien....hehe (Here, I just used my blender)
5. Cooked the sauce mixture under low heat just for a while until the sauce color turn a bit darker (Not burnt color ok!)
6. Turn off the heat, let it cool for a while or put in the fridge for about 3 hrs.
7. Pour the sauce and fruit cocktail onto the pudding to serve them.
8. Pudding best serve when cool or add ice cube when eating them.

1 cawan tepung kastard
1/2 sudu kecil garam

2 cawan kismis / jagung biji (bole je nak letak lain kalau suke)

Untuk Kuah:
1 tin susu cair
4 cawan gula
2 biji kuning telur
1 sudu kecil esen vanilla
2 sudu besar tepung kastard
1 tin air (guna je tin susu tu)
1 tinf fruit cocktail/nata d coco/lyche/potongan mangga

Cara-cara:
1. Untuk puding, campur semua bahan kecuali kismis/jagung. Masukkan dalam blender and blend kejap. Tuang dalam periuk and masak atas api kecil/sederhana sampai jadi pekat. Kacau selalu kalau tak puding jadi berketul-ketul. Dah siap, tutup api, masukkan kismis/jagung, gaul rata.
2. Masukkan adunan dalam bekas kecil and biarkan sejuk. Kalau nak cepat letak je dalam peti ais.
3. Untuk kuah, campur semua bahan dalam bekas. Letak dalam blender and blend kejap. Jangan lama sangat nanti kuah berbuih-buih bile masak.
4. Panaskan kuah atas api sampai warna bertukar gelap sikit. Kacau selalu supaya kuah tak membuak @ berketul-ketul. Tak payah tunggu mendidih.
5. Dah siap, tutup api and sejukkan. Masuk dalam peti ais lebih kurang 3 jam kalau nak lebih sedap.
6. Hidangkan puding dengan kuah + fruit cocktail bile nak makan. Kalau nak lagi sedap, tambah kan ketulan ais masa makan.

My Little Baby in my Tummy is already 31 weeks

I have my forth medical check-up today. Everything seems ok, blood pressure, hb normal, urine ok, baby ok, my leg won't swallow and in conclusion, I'm ok. Baby is already 31 weeks. I got new appointment on 9 April for scanning. Then I realise I have another 4 weeks to achieve 36 weeks. A bit nervous and excited coz this is my first baby.

I went back around 12.00pm from Klinik Kesihatan Jinjang. I reach there about 9.00am and given with number 6514. The queue is only for 14 people but I have to wait for 3 hrs to get check-up. Anyway, since I'm pregnant, my mum always say to have lots of patience. This will hopefully persuade my baby to have the same character. Reached home, I feel like cooking but with simple dishes as Dr told me not to overdoing myself. 8 months pregnant is another sensitive months and I have to ensure I got enough rest. I already left my kitchen for about 3 weeks. Poor hubby, he have to buy lunch and dinner for us as I can't stand in the kitchen for 45 minutes.

So, finally I decided to cook simple dish, fried chicken + Fried Tofu + Spinach Soup + grill 'Jelawat' fish with soya sauce. Alhamdulillah, my hubby like it so much except the Spinach Soup. He told me he already had that dish 2 days before at my mom-in-law house. I feel great to make him happy. Thanks Abang, even tough it a simple cooks but you really appreciate it so much. I Love U and thanks for being patience during my pregnancy. Muah...muah!

Pancake Vanilla

Since my 7 month pregnant, I wish to eat lots of things that unsual. One of my wish today is vanilla pancake. I did it last time but not really eating them. I just make it for my niece.

So, this time I make it coz I do crawling for it. The nearest pancake house in town was in The Curve but with my big tummy I don't think it will be easy.

Ok, this is the recipe that I took from one of the website but really can't remember which one. So I just post it here. This is actually recipe for chocolate pancake but I used it to make vanilla pancake:

Chocolate Pancake

Ingredient 1:
2 cups self raising flour/wheat flour
1 cup sugar
2 tea spoon baking powder
2 table spoon coco powder (I substitute this with flour and replace with 1 tablespoon vanilla flavour)
1/2 tea spoon salt

Ingredient 2:
1 table spoon butter (I just used Dorina)
2 eags
2 cups fresh milk

1) Add all ingredient 1 in to bowl. Mix them well.
2) In separate bowl, beat eggs until the colour turn bright. Don't over do beating as it will harden your pancake.
3) Add the rest of ingredient 2 into the beaten egg. Beat again for about 5 seconds.
4) Mix ingredient 1 into ingredient 2 once a while and continue mix them until you get smooth batter.
5) Heat the non-stick pan with low heat. Pour one scoop of batter in the middle of pan and let it cook. You will find the bubble coming out at the top layer. When all bubble stop appear or the bottom pancake turn to light brown, turn the pancake to the other side. Cook about 3 minutes and remove from pan.
6) Serve with fresh cream and fruits or you can eat with peanut butter or any fruits jem.

Skrg baby dah besar. Dah 7 bulan. Dah scan semua ok. InsyaAllah, kalau takde ape2 aral dapat baby boy. Even tough I wish for baby girl, tapi takpe la. Yang penting anakku ini sihat, bijak, sempurna sifatnya zahir dan batin, tak banyak meragam and senang nak jaga. Itu je doa ku hari2.

I'm Panic!

The whole day yesterday I feel panic coz I can't feel any baby movement. I really worried something might happen.

The next day, I rush to Dr Shashikala clinic, my Dr who used to take care of my health. Unfortunately, she have to attend for meeting and only available after lunch.

Argh, things really mess, I called my untie to ask her opinion. She suggest to go to Dr Dahlia, somewhere at Selayang as she used to go there for maternity check-up.

Alhamdulillah, after scan and everything, Dr Dahlia say everything is fine. She say baby might need to rest from being so active. Alhamdulillah, thanks Allah to take a good care of my baby.

This is my trip with Husband to Penang after our honeymoon. We just took the opportunity to get there by train as I've been informed our 'Keretapi Tanah Melayu', Malaysian Railway has improve their services with reduce ticket fare.

Since Waheeda & Yusmin is working in Penang, we plan to visit them and at the same time spent some holiday. This is the second place we plan after finishing my study. So, enjoy our photo at Bukit Bendera.
